要旨：膵臓癌に対する外科治療そのものにおいて，諸外国と日本との相違はそれほど大きなものではない．特にわが国では拡大手術が積極的に試みられてきたが，近年では過侵襲を避ける傾向にある．アメリカでは，補助放射線療法が重視されている．大規模臨床試験が特にヨーロッパを中心に行われているが，わが国ではS-1を中心とした臨床試験が進行中である．
