要旨：近年，腹壁（瘢痕）ヘルニア修復術に使用されているコンポジット（composite：複合）メッシュは，臓側面のePTFEシートによって腸管との癒着が予防されることから腹腔内に留置することが可能となった．筋膜を広範囲に剝離する必要がなく，最内側（腹腔側）からヘルニア門を閉鎖することができるtension-free修復術として急速に普及している．手技が簡便で再発率の低下にも寄与している本術式であるが，その普及に伴って問題点も報告されていることから，使用法の基本を十分に理解しておく必要がある．
