5．大腸癌―①術前療法

　わが国の大腸癌外科治療における補助療法は治癒切除術後に行われる全身化学療法が主体であり，術前の補助療法が行われることは必ずしも多くない．大腸癌の代表的な術前療法は，直腸癌に対する術前補助化学放射線療法（CRT）である．術前CRTは欧米において直腸癌の標準的治療となっているが，わが国のガイドライン^1）では「有効性と安全性を示すエビデンスに乏しい」とされ，標準治療とは位置付けられていない．本稿では，大腸癌の術前療法として直腸癌に対する術前CRTを取り上げて解説する．
