【ポイント】

◆食道癌はT4の対象臓器が多く，かつ生命維持にきわめて重要な臓器であるため，慎重かつ柔軟な治療戦略を立てる必要がある．

◆T4食道癌の治療の基本は根治的化学放射線療法であるが，わが国における日常診療では術前治療を行って根治手術を行う場合もある．

◆術前治療としては化学療法と化学放射線療法があるが，T4を解除しなければ手術ができない場合には局所制御効果の高い化学放射線療法を行う．
