【ポイント】

◆術後に積極的な栄養管理(artificial nutrition)を必要とするのは,術前から低栄養に陥っている患者,および術後7~10日以上にわたり十分な経口摂取が障害されることが予想される場合である.

◆術後のartificial nutritionを必要とする場合は,術後24(36)時間以内の早期経腸栄養を開始することが望ましい.

◆消化器外科手術でも多くの症例で術後早期からの経口摂取が可能であること,また必ずしも流動食から食事を開始する必要がないことが明らかとなってきている.
