治療成績の性差―傷病の経過に男女差はあるか

素朴な疑問

　年齢と性別は診断や治療に欠かせない患者情報であるが，治療方針や術式を決めるときに，性別に配慮する外科医は少ない．男性と女性は生物学的に異なるが，同じ病気でも治療成績が異なることがあるのだろうか．がん患者の生存率や外傷患者の死亡率に男女差があるのだろうか．
