◆膵癌による死者は28,815人(2011年)で,継続的に増加しており,男性死因の第5位,女性死因の第4位である.
◆膵癌患者の7~10%は家族歴があり,家族性膵癌(第一度近親者に2名以上膵癌患者がいる)では膵癌のリスクが9倍になる.
◆喫煙は膵癌発症の危険率を増加させ,25~30%は喫煙が原因,禁煙で膵癌の22%は予防できる.
