【ポイント】

◆大腸癌の手術は，根治性を追い求めた拡大切除・拡大郭清の時代から，機能温存・縮小手術へと変遷してきた．

◆その過程で低侵襲（小手術創）手術の先駆けとなる腹腔鏡下手術が登場し，広がりを見せている．

◆腹腔鏡下手術は根治性において開腹手術と比較される．根治性に重点を置いて腹腔鏡下手術の展望を論じる．
