素朴な疑問

 がんの治療成績は時代とともに向上しており,その理由として早期発見や治療法の進歩,特に手術手技や抗腫瘍薬の進歩が挙げられる.ところが,がんは治療の内容と関係なく,精密検査をするだけでステージ別の治療成績が向上するという(Will Rogers現象).本当にそんなことがあるのだろうか.
