【ポイント】

◆外科手術において高齢者の占める割合は大幅に増加している．

◆加齢は主要臓器機能の予備能の低下をもたらし，外科的侵襲が加わる際，低下した予備能が問題となる．

◆併存疾患の有無や程度に個人差が大きいため，各患者の臓器機能を評価したうえで周術期管理を行う必要がある．
