【ポイント】

◆20世紀半ばまで直腸癌に対する手術の基本はabdominoperineal resectionであった．

◆20世紀後半から肛門機能温存術は目覚ましく進歩した．

◆今後は直腸癌の手術は非侵襲的・機能温存の面で進歩していくと考えられる．
