直腸癌に対する術前CRTの現況

【ポイント】

◆TMEが普及した現在でも，下部進行直腸癌に対する術前CRTは欧米における標準療法である．

◆術前CRTを行うことによって，わが国で行われてきた予防的側方郭清を省略できる可能性がある．

◆術前CRTによって肛門温存率は改善し，奏効例では非手術も今後は選択肢となりうる可能性がある．
