糖尿病・心臓病・脳卒中などの生活習慣病の管理や予防には食生活の改善と運動が必要であり,ウォーキング・スイミング・フィットネスなどの運動が勧められる.がんも生活習慣や肥満と関連があるが,運動している人はがんになりにくいのだろうか.運動しているがん患者は予後がよいのだろうか.身体能力が高い高齢者は長生きするのだろうか.
