【ポイント】
◆癌の進展による疼痛や出血，そのほか腫瘍に伴う様々な症状などに対する緩和目的の放射線治療は有効である．
◆放射線治療は腫瘍に対する直接的な局所効果を得ることができ，延命を目的とすることが可能である．
◆症状対策に際し，チーム医療の中で適切に放射線治療の適応を検討することが重要である．
