◆NCDデータからは，単なる統計だけではなく，自施設の医療レベルの客観的評価（ベンチマーク）や個々の症例における術前リスク評価といった有用な情報が各施設へフィードバックされ活用されている．
◆NCDのめざすところは，データに基づいた「外科医療の透明性（Transparency）」による外科医療の質のさらなる向上である．
