【ポイント】
◆高齢者のフレイルの重要な要因,背景としてサルコペニアの存在が知られている.
◆加齢に伴うサイトカインやホルモン動態の変化など,液性因子や免疫・炎症系の加齢性変化がサルコペニアの発症,進展に関与している可能性が明らかになってきている.
◆筋骨連関などサルコペニアと他臓器・組織との連関や,ミトコンドリア機能不全,細胞外マトリックス代謝異常,マイクロRNA,筋肥大関連因子による制御など,臓器連関や病態機序の解明が今後進むと考えられる.
