急性腹症と漢方—大腸憩室炎を中心に

はじめに
　外科領域では，大建中湯や六君子湯が術後の腸管機能不全や食欲低下にしばしば用いられるが，急性期に漢方薬を服用する，という発想がそもそもないと思われる．意外なことかもしれないが，3000年以上前から，腹腔内膿瘍に漢方薬が使われていた．古典にはいくつかの処方の記載があるし，日本でも，症例報告や比較試験が散見される．とはいえ筆者も，実際に臨床症例を経験して初めて，その効果について認識した．
　本稿では，「臨床外科」における急性腹症に対する初めての漢方の記事ということで，わかりやすく，先生方の臨床にすぐに役立つように，大腸憩室炎を中心に解説する．
