【ポイント】
◆taTMEは腫瘍学的側面と機能温存の両面において，直腸癌に対する従来の外科的治療を凌駕する可能性がある．
◆特徴的な解剖学的認識やラーニングカーブが課題として挙げられ，教育システムの整備が必要である．
◆現在，腹腔鏡下TMEとtaTMEのランダム化比較試験が実施されており，taTMEの有用性が証明されることが期待される．
