【ポイント】
◆近年の世界的な肥満人口の増加により，高度肥満症に対する肥満外科手術の施行件数は年々増加している．
◆肥満外科手術は，糖尿病に対する血糖改善効果が高いことから，メタボリックサージェリーと呼ばれ，糖尿病治療を主たる目的として行われるようになっている．
◆患者の病態に応じた術式選択が重要となる．
