【ポイント】
◆高度肥満症に対する外科手術後合併症は，通常の消化器外科手術とは異なることを認識しておく必要がある．
◆高度肥満症患者のショック状態への対応は，気管挿管，循環・呼吸管理を含めて難渋することが多く，致命的になりかねない．術後合併症を重篤化させないよう，先手を打つことが重要である．
◆スリーブ状胃切除術における特有の合併症として，難治性縫合不全，狭窄・捻じれ，胃食道逆流症があり，その特性を理解すべきである．
