【ポイント】
◆本稿では，様々な術後における予後不良因子として報告される指標，Charlson Comorbidity Indexに着目し，術前併存疾患について述べる．
◆肥満・糖尿病外科手術の適応となる患者の約半数に併存し，術後治療困難例となるリスク因子である精神疾患への対応も必要である．
