【ポイント】
◆COVID-19に関する国際的研究組織であるCOVID Surgグループは，COVID-19が世界の外科治療に与えた影響を発信してきた．
◆COVID-19パンデミックの第1波によって世界で最大70%の予定手術が中止，延期されたと推定された．
◆COVID-19パンデミックの第1波では，感染患者に外科手術を行った場合，術後30日以内死亡率が24%に達するなどリスクが高かった．
◆COVID-19の術前スクリーニングは特にCOVID-19流行地域において術後肺合併症予防に有用である．
