【ポイント】
◆食道癌の手術において，術後の感染性合併症は予後にも影響を与える重大な問題である．
◆特に進行癌では標準治療として術前化学療法を行い，手術までに時間を要することが多く，合併症対策は初診時からの介入が重要となる．
◆治療成績の向上には，各専門スタッフと綿密に連携を取り，多方面からの総合的な取り組みが不可欠である．
