海外におけるconversion surgeryの考え方

【ポイント】
◆欧米では，oligometastasisに対する外科治療をconversion surgeryとして扱うことが多く，根治切除不能例に対する化学療法後の切除に関する報告はきわめて少ない．
◆Oligometastasisを中心とした観察研究では外科切除の安全性と有効性が示唆されており，現在ランダム化比較試験が複数のグループで進められている．
◆オランダの研究グループからはoligometastasisに関するコンセンサスが報告されており，今後ランダム化比較試験が実施される予定である．
◆Oligometastasisに対するconversion surgeryの意義に関しては海外で施行されているランダム化比較試験の結果が待たれる．
