【ポイント】
◆様々な胃切除術式の影響を科学的に評価して術式の選択や改良に役立てることが重要である．
◆各胃切除術式が胃切除後障害（≒患者の日常生活）に及ぼす影響を評価するには，胃切除後の評価を目的に開発された質問票（PGSAS-45など）が有用である．
◆術式以外にも様々な臨床因子が胃切除後のQOLに影響を及ぼすが，術式選択は介入可能な因子として特に重要である．
◆同じ術式でも適応と手技の違いにより胃切除後障害の重さは異なるため，術後QOLの向上に寄与する適応と手技を明らかにし普及させる必要がある．
