【ポイント】
◆全身状態不良の患者が対象となる胃瘻造設では，合併症から不幸な転機をたどる可能性も少なくない．
◆患者の病態や予後の把握が十分でないと，合併症のリスクが増大する．また，胃瘻を十分活用できなくなる．
◆胃瘻造設の適応については，倫理的な考察も求められ，施行医には胃瘻のメリット・デメリットを正確に説明する能力が必須である．
