新生児期の予後

はじめに

　わが国は世界で最も新生児死亡率の低い国の1つであり，NICUを有する施設においては超低出生体重児の生存率も80％以上となっている．しかし，今日における新たな問題として，出生率が低下しているにもかかわらず，低出生体重児の出生数が1980年代以降，増加に転じていることが挙げられる．さまざまな母体側の要因以外に，胎児発育制限（fetal growth restriction : 以下，FGR）児の増加もその原因の1つと考えられている．

　本稿では，FGR児のなかでも出生後の管理に特に難渋する超低出生体重児例について，新生児期の臨床的特徴および急性期の予後を概説する．
