6.卵巣癌の維持化学療法

はじめに

　近年，進行卵巣癌患者においても腫瘍減量手術とタキサン系薬剤＋白金製剤による化学療法を併用した集学的治療によって，臨床的に寛解に至ることが可能となってきた．Pectasidesら^1）によると，進行卵巣癌に対する化学療法の奏効率は90%に達し，臨床的完全寛解（CR）率と生存の中央値はそれぞれ75%と26か月であるという．しかし不幸にも，寛解に至った患者の多くが再発することとなる現状がある．寛解に至った患者に対して有効性を示す維持化学療法の開発は，卵巣癌の長期生存率改善に多大なインパクトを与えることとなる．これまでに維持化学療法の必要性の是非を検討する多くの臨床試験が施行されてきた．本稿では最近の卵巣癌の維持化学療法に関する臨床試験報告について述べる．
