「更年期ののぼせ」について

　米国社会では更年期の「のぼせ」（hot flushes）は最高70％ほどにもみられる．のぼせは更年期だけではなく，早発性卵巣機能不全や乳癌の治療に伴ってもみられる．前立腺癌の治療で抗アンドロゲン剤を使用する男性にものぼせはみられる．

　体内の温度調節にはさまざまな機能が関与している．体の深部温度（core body temperature），神経化学的メッセージ，末梢血管網などである．
