1 はじめに

　サイヌソイダルパターン（sinusoidal pattern）とは，胎児心拍数曲線が規則的でなめらかなサイン曲線を示すものをいう．持続時間は問わず，1分間に2～6サイクルで，振幅は平均5～15 bpmであり，大きくても35 bpm以下の波形を称するとされている^1）．

　一般的には表1に示す1982年にModanlouとFreeman^2）が提唱した定義が使用されている．
