顕微授精における精子選択法

はじめに

　近年，男性不妊症が増加傾向にあり，種々のストレスや環境要因による影響の解明，生殖補助医療（assisted reproductive technology : ART）の発達とともに男性側の治療が見直されつつある．男性の場合，精祖細胞が成熟精子に発育するのに約64～74日間を要する．その後の射出までの期間も考慮に入れて，最低3か月間治療を行ったうえで有効性の評価を行う．ARTにおいて治療周期前から心身を整え，治療周期にtop qualityの配偶子から得られた胚を子宮内に移植することにより初めて健康な児を獲得できる．本稿では治療前からの準備と治療周期に行うベストな精子処理・選択法について言及したい．
