はじめに

 摂食およびストレスと性機能は密接に関係する.GnRH分泌は中枢・末梢の種々の因子により促進的または抑制的に制御されている.レプチンおよびkisspeptinはGnRH分泌促進因子として作用する.一方,摂食促進因子やストレス関連因子の一部およびgonadotropin inhibiting hormone/RFamide-Related-Peptide(GnIH/RFRP)はGnRH分泌抑制因子として作用する.栄養不良や強いストレスを受けた状態では,GnRH分泌促進因子の抑制とGnRH分泌抑制因子の活性化が同時に起こり,GnRH分泌が低下するものと推測される(図1).本稿ではこれらの因子と,栄養不良・ストレスによる性機能抑制とのかかわりについて概説する.
