はじめに

　正常の絨毛細胞は組織学的に，合胞体栄養膜細胞（syncytiotrophoblast : ST），細胞性栄養膜細胞（cytotrophoblast : CT），中間型栄養膜細胞（intermediate trophoblast : IT）に分類される．ITはさらに絨毛内IT（villous IT），絨毛外として内膜着床部でみられる着床部IT（implantation site IT）と絨毛膜無毛部の絨毛膜型IT（chorionic-type IT）に分類される．絨毛性疾患とはこれら絨毛細胞の異常ないし異型増殖により肉眼的，組織学的に異常をきたした疾患の総称であり，わが国では胞状奇胎，存続絨毛症，絨毛癌，胎盤部トロホブラスト腫瘍（placental site trophoblastic tumor : PSTT）の4つに分類される^1）．
