●新しい規約は国際的な基準とも合致しており，「同じ傘の下」での比較・検討ができる．

●奇胎の診断は肉眼的所見ではなく，組織学的所見に基づいてなされる．

●可能ならば，imprinting gene productの免疫組織化学的検査や遺伝子検査によって確認する．

●奇胎後の続発性疾患の診断は，20週ではなく，24週時点でのhCG値を目安にする．

●絨毛性疾患に遭遇する機会は多くない．それゆえ，むしろその診断・管理法に習熟することが求められる．
