Q3　不育症に漢方療法は有効ですか？

A　漢方薬の使用は古くからの歴史があり，一般的に副作用が少なく，主として西洋薬で十分な効果が得られない場合の代替薬，西洋薬の効果増強などを目的に用いられています．この状況は，不育症の治療においても同様であり，漢方療法は効果があるといえます．漢方療法に関する原典とされている「金匱要略」の記述から，切迫流・早産に対する当帰芍薬散の有用性および性器出血が認められる症例に対する芎帰膠艾湯の有効性などが示されています．

　最近では漢方薬の薬理作用に基づき，自己免疫異常，特に抗リン脂質抗体が関与する不育症に対する柴苓湯（副腎皮質ステロイドホルモン類似の薬理作用を有する薬剤です）の有効性が指摘されています．
