●女性下部尿路症状（FLUTS）でのエストロゲン治療では局所（腟内）投与が第一選択となる．

●外陰腟萎縮（VVA）からFLUTSが起こることもある．エストロゲンを使ったときにはFLUTSへの効果も評価する．

●全身投与のエストロゲンでは，尿失禁の予防効果，症状軽減効果ともに期待できない．
