●妊娠中のサイトメガロウイルス（CMV）初感染は先天性感染児発生のハイリスク妊娠である．

●妊娠中の初感染を診断するためにCMV IgM検査が汎用されるが，特異度は低く，IgM陽性の場合にはIgG avidity検査などの補助検査を要する．

●ハイリスク妊娠における先天性感染の発生予知にIgG avidity検査，胎児超音波検査が有効である可能性がある．

●血清学的検査によるCMV妊婦スクリーニングでは，再活性化・再感染による非初感染妊娠から発生する先天性感染児を見落とす可能性があることに留意する．
