ポイント

●不妊原因の半数が男性に存在する．その内訳は86.5％が精液所見不良，13.5％が性機能障害である．

●男性不妊治療によりART→IUIといった妻に対する治療方法の“step down”が可能となる例，性生活が円滑になり自然妊娠が期待できるようになる症例が多々ある．

●不妊診療に携わるすべての産婦人科医にとって男性不妊の知識が必要である．夫の既往歴・手術歴・薬歴から不妊原因が判明する例も散見され，禁煙，精巣を高温環境に置かないなどの生活改善も重要である．
