●体外受精は一般的で安全な不妊治療との認識があるが，受精のプロセスや胚の発育において，生理的な受精や胚発生と異なる側面をもっている．

●卵細胞質内精子注入法は体外受精よりも多く実施されているが，受精のプロセスが生理的なそれと大きく異なる．また，先体酵素が卵子内に持ち込まれることによるダメージが危惧される．

●胚の発生については，経時的な胚発生の各状態を理解し，異常発生があったときに的確にその異常を認識できることが大切である．
