◉子宮内膜症性囊胞の破裂は急性腹症や炎症を伴う婦人科救急の代表的疾患である．
◉囊胞内から漏出した内容液による持続する下腹痛や骨盤内の感染のために，緊急手術が必要となる．
◉早期診断の指標はなく，正診率は低い．他の婦人科疾患や消化器疾患との鑑別がしばしば必要となる．
