●妊娠の成立・維持においてNK細胞やT細胞などの免疫担当細胞は,末梢血中や子宮内膜・脱落膜に存在し,子宮における免疫機構の維持に重要な役割を果たしている.

●NK細胞の細胞傷害性の増加,サイトカイン産生の異常は不育症や着床不全を引き起こす.また,精液に曝露されることにより起こるNK細胞機能異常もありうる.

●不育症や着床不全に対して子宮内免疫異常に着目したさまざまな免疫学的アプローチが行われており,有効な治療法となる可能性があるが,十分なエビデンスは得られていない.
