●2020年4月からジノプロストン腟内留置用製剤（プロウペス®）が妊娠37週以降の子宮頸管熟化不良における熟化の促進を適応として，使用できるようになった．

●器械的頸管熟化に比べ，分娩誘発の成功率については同等とされているが，挿入時の痛みが少なく，子宮内感染のリスクが低いというメリットがある．

●プロウペス®の使用にあたって，使用方法・留意点を順守し，安全に十分配慮する．
