▶人工授精とは，一般的に調整した精子を子宮内に注入する方法を指す．
▶人工授精における精子調整法は大きく密度勾配遠心法とswim up法に分類される．
▶非配偶者間人工授精においては日本産科婦人科学会の会告により凍結精子を使用するよう義務付けられている．
