●再発性呼吸器乳頭腫症は,多発しやすい,また再発しやすい,主に喉頭に発生する良性腫瘍であり,HPV6やHPV11に起因することが多い.

●中咽頭がんとHPVの関連が注目されており,本邦でも中咽頭がんの半数以上はHPV関連となり,急増している.

●ワクチン接種により若年型の再発性呼吸器乳頭腫症の発症率が低下することを示す海外の報告が出始めた.

●ワクチン接種による中咽頭がんの発生率に関する報告はまだないが,口腔HPV感染率は低下することが報告されている.
