母乳の特徴と母乳育児の得失

文献概要

●母乳育児支援には「The Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding（母乳育児がうまくいくための10のステップ」が有用である．

●産科病棟や産院を退院する際にお土産として粉ミルクを渡すことは「The International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes（母乳代用品のマーケティングに関する国際規準）」違反である．

●母乳には人工乳に含まれないマクロファージ，リンパ球などの細胞成分，マイクロRNA，ホルモン，サイトカインなどが含まれており，感染防御をはじめ多くの得を子どもにもたらしている．

●母乳育児には母親と子どもへの得だけでなく社会への得〔医療費削減，人工乳の容器・哺乳瓶・乳首などの廃棄による環境への負担の軽減，災害時にも清潔に母乳を与えられる（＝人工乳が必要な子どもへの人工乳が不足しない）など〕もある．
