FDT―(Frequency doubling technology perimetry)

〔SUMMARY〕 正常眼圧にもかかわらず視神経・視野に緑内障性変化をきたす正常眼圧緑内障が,わが国では高頻度にみられることが疫学調査で判明した.視神経の緑内障性の変化は視野変化に先行するとされ,より早期発見が可能な視野検査が望まれていた.FDTは,網膜神経筋細胞の中で余剰性が少ないM細胞系を検査することで,視野欠損を効率良く検出できる.機器は軽量で,従来の視野計のような視力矯正や暗室を必要とせず,スクリーニング検査や会社検診などに適していると思われる.〔臨床検査 49:1125-1132,2005〕
