〔SUMMARY〕 メタボリックシンドロームはインスリン抵抗性を基盤とした症候群と考えられている.インスリン抵抗性の評価には空腹時インスリン値,HOMA-Rなどの比較的簡便な方法から,グルコースクランプ法,SSPG法,ミニマルモデル法,インスリン負荷試験など多くの方法があり,それぞれの検査の特徴を十分理解したうえで行うことが重要である.〔臨床検査 49:1707-1712,2005〕
