文献概要

　mRNAを含むRNAは分解されやすいデリケートな分子であるために，病理検体に代表されるホルマリン固定パラフィン包埋組織を用いて解析することは困難であると一般に考えられてきた．しかし検索が進むにつれ，ホルマリン固定パラフィン包埋組織にもある程度のRNAが残存しており，それを抽出して解析できることがわかってきた．

　本稿ではホルマリン固定パラフィン包埋組織におけるRNAの特徴と，一般の臨床検査施設でも実施可能なRNAの抽出法と解析法とについて解説する．〔臨床検査　50：731-735，2006〕
