乳癌の治療の選択

　現在乳癌は日本では女性の癌のなかで罹患率第一位となっており，社会の関心も高い．癌の治療は手術，放射線治療，化学療法(抗癌剤治療)が基本とされているが乳癌はこれらの治療すべてが有効な疾患とされている．また乳腺組織は卵巣ホルモンが作用する標的臓器であるため，これら治療に加えて卵巣ホルモンを阻害するいわゆる内分泌療法(ホルモン療法)が約60～70%の乳癌において有効である．これらの治療法の選択について診断から治療の流れに沿って概説する．〔臨床検査　51：15-22，2007〕
