はじめに

　ヒトゲノムの全塩基配列の解読，遺伝子多型のデータベースの充実，そしてハプロタイプ地図(HapMap)の完成といった遺伝子情報の蓄積や遺伝子解析技術の進歩は遺伝的多様性の研究を著しく進展させた．特に，これから臨床での導入が期待されている“心血管疾患などの多因子疾患のテーラーメイド医療を遺伝子情報に基づいて行う”システムの構築に対する貢献は大きい．今回の特集である“遺伝子検査―診断とリスクファクター”すなわち遺伝子検査の臨床応用に向けて，蓄積されつつあるデータの有効な使用法と効率のよい遺伝子検査法の選択が検討されている最中である．本稿では遺伝子の解析法のなかで特に網羅的解析について，関係事項を加えながら概説したい．
